The eye functions like a camera and the amount of light coming into it is controlled by the pupil according to the environment you are in.
The light coming into the eye falls on the retina, which consists of a series of light-sensitive cells lining the back of the eye.
The retina in turn acts like camera film, reacting differently to the incoming light and then sending a record of it to the brain for analysis.
The other organs in the eye are muscles that allow the eye to move in different directions. Some parts protect the eye from injury. |
