We too seek to find our true self by giving people the gift of clear vision. We at Himalaya feel blessed to have been a part of your lives while taking care of your optical needs. You have so generously endowed us with so much. In return Himalaya Optical pledges to do its utmost to bring to the masses, opportunities of better eye health at every step. Our corporate conscience has instilled in us a deep will to help all those who are not so privileged to get optimal eye care.
Hence, driven by our honest desire to help people at large are the following endeavours-
It feels very rewarding indeed when we pack our bag and baggage to go to places where a basic eye check-up is considered a luxury.
VOW (Vision on Wheels) is one such endeavour whereby trained optometrists along with volunteers from amongst us go to sections of the society who are underprivileged. Often we also collaborate with NGOs and similar institutions so that a well planned and effective camp can be setup.
Eye vision is tested for adults and children and free spectacles are provided if necessary. We also extend education to the people so that they can make note of their eye abnormalities in time for better treatment.
The smiles we get in lieu brighten up our lives.
We also feel proud to have been associated with the eye donation drive.
"Eye Promise my Eyes" launched by Himalaya Optical had been instrumental to bring forth people together to pledge their eyes to others in need. When you depart but leave behind vision for someone, it gives them happiness beyond your imagination.
The event was very successful when we witnessed several who came forward to promise their eyes to others. It was a fine spectacle of humanity!
Himalaya Optical also undertakes drives to have old frames donated. Not only does it help recycle products but it also means being utilised by people who need them. As our social responsibility, we make eye check-ups available to the needy so that we can make lenses for them as per their requirements.
Help at Old Age (NAVANIR) had been one very pleasurable experience when volunteers of Himalaya Optical including optometrists tested the eyes of all the residents of the old age home and made frames along with lenses available to them.
This is not all; we are forever at our toes to help people through our core expertise. A thorough eye examination for the socio-economically weaker sections of the society can help alleviate all their eye related problems. The overwhelming response that people show at such camps fuels us to serve better owing to which we have been able to help countless in our bid.
